You may remember Valentina and myself from the 60x60 dance project we did here in London last year. We were delighted to have been given your track 'Something Happened' to work with as we loved the beautifully dark and mysterious atmosphere it created. The one minute dance we made and performed to it was fun to do and was well received. In fact we've been asked to do it again at Greenwich Dance Agency Cabaret in London in April. We would like to develop our dance perhaps into something a little longer (4 or 5 mins) for this performance opportunity and are thinking about what to do soundwise.We were wondering whether your 60 second piece was the original piece of music you had created or whether it was part of a longer work? If it was part of a longer work could we listen to it? amy bell and valentina golfieri

5 one-minute pieces for concert harp (pedal) will be selected to be played continuously for a debut performance
in New York City on May 29, 2011, by harpist Alyssa Reit in the Composer’s Voice concert series.

Submission guidelines:
OK to try non-traditional techniques (such as harmonics at the 12th, use of soft mallets); OK to use words, simple vocals(alto), or theatrical techniques along with the harp. OK to write for lever harp.

"Net als mijn klasgenoten ben ik gepassioneerd door muziek. Als eindwerk is
ons gevraagd om het te hebben over ‘opmerkelijke vrouwen’.
Dit idee is mede ontstaan door een lessenreeks over Fanny Mendelssohn.
De anderen gaan het dan ook voornamelijk hebben over vrouwen uit de
geschiedenis. Mijn persoonlijke interesse gaat nochtans meer uit naar het heden,
en dan ook vooral naar harp aangezien ik zelf intussen bijna mijn tweede jaar
harp af heb. Op internet is van alles te vinden over jou, maar de beste bron van
waarheid ben jij zelf, vandaar mijn vraag om een interview af te mogen nemen."
